Dream House

A dream house is something that is wished for by many but had by a few. Your dream house, however, may be as reserved as a small cottage with a white picket fence or as grandiose as a Beverly Hills mansion or Scottish castle.

The idea of the dream house is that it is personal for each who wish for one. A dream house for one may be a nightmare for another and vice versa.

For instance, one person may envision a large fixer upper as his or her dream house while another may see this as a money pit.

A dream house may be on a mountain, lake, stream, beach or moat. A dream house for some may even be in the middle of a desert. Perhaps a nice dream house surrounded by a quaint oasis is what you're looking for?

Dream houses most often will come with many amenities. A large swimming pool (or pools), Jacuzzis, hefty acreage, horse stable or English garden may fit in with a person's vision of a dream house.

Would you like an expansive Victorian home or would you prefer art nouveau architecture? Perhaps you'd just like a simple dream house designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, right?

For those who grew up with fairytales of princes and princesses, a castle many just be the only dream house that will do. Castles in Europe, Russia, South Africa, the United Kingdom and even the United States have tickled the imaginations of many for years. For those in the Western USA, a trip to the Hearst Castle in San Simeon, CA may just be what your imagination ordered.

For many a more modest dream house will do, however. This may just consist of a nice-looking home, the spouse of your dreams, a couple of kids and a dog. But, since this site is about thinking big, let's think really big.

A dream house is about the unattainable and about the possibilities. It is about wishing, dreaming, fantasizing and taking a small step towards making your dream house your reality.

Whether its planting some new flowers or putting up a new picture in your home, you can take a step towards your dream house today. What small step will you take?
